ESPN Report: New Hampshire Motor Speedway’s Two Sprint Cup Series Dates Safe For 2011?

July 27th, 2010

Since the Sprint Cup Series made the first of two annual visits to New Hampshire Motor Speedway in late June, speculation has been overwhelming that the facility would likely lose one of its two Sprint Cup Series weekends in 2011.

It was expected that Speedway Motorsports Inc., the company that owns New Hampshire Motor Speedway, would do some date swapping within the family of facilities it controls. It was thought that SMI officials would pull one date from Atlanta Motor Speedway and one from New Hampshire Motor Speedway and uses those changes to put a Sprint Cup Series event at Kentucky Speedway and have a second date for Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
