National Short Track Points Leader Keith Rocco To Skip SK Modified Race At Thompson For Second Consecutive Week

August 4th, 2010

There won’t be any short track national championship celebrations in Connecticut this weekend.

Keith Rocco WTF FINALE.jpgWhelen All-American Series national points leader Keith Rocco of Wallingford said Wednesday that he will skip Thursday’s 30-lap SK Modified feature at Thompson International Speedway.

It will mark the second consecutive week that Rocco will skip the SK Modified race at Thompson.

Rocco skipped last week’s event because of a feud with track officials over tire rule issues. Before last week Rocco had not missed an SK Modified event at Thompson this year, or for that matter at Stafford Motor Speedway or the Waterford Speedbowl.
